Designing a garden is much like designing a house: the time and effort
invested early on will be rewarded when the project literally starts
to grow.
The first stage is a site visit. Notes and digital photographs are taken as reference material. A detailed brief includes information on amount of time spent at the property; priorities – is easy maintenance more important than constant colour? - and how the garden will be used – for entertaining or as a children’s playground? Next, hand-drawn illustrations and 3D perspectives are produced.
Special features can enhance the character and use of the property,
such as: An itemised quotation is submitted with the plans, so that the client can see clearly what is included, and make any adjustments necessary. The fee for producing the plans depends on the plot size and complexity of the design. On average, it takes 2-3 weeks from the briefing session with the client to produce a set of drawings and plans. |
